Traders and liquidity providers interact with via the Perpetual AMM/LPs, which determines mark price and enables synthetic exposure.
​Oraclesfeed data to the the Clearinghouse, which maintains all Margin account balances and market settings. 
​Liquidationbots monitor the accounts and call the clearing house when a traders margin dips below maintenance.  
This is a very simplified explanation, but its important to understand that every component plays a role in making the market function properly.
